Sit in the shade with Jenny in Sitges
Drink afternoon tea at the Jazz Cafe,
That’s all I want to do in twenty one,
See clear shafts of sunlight through the palm trees,
Eat crisp thin lemony almond biscuits,
Sip orange infused lapsang suchong tea,
As gentle warm air wafts over my arms,
And Billy Holiday songs softly play,
I really need to action reverie,
In paradise South of Barcelona.
Break away from Covid paranoia,
Enjoy my eighth decade whilst I still can,
With the love of my life there by my side.
At least we’re still allowed to dream, aren’t we?
